What we collect
When you create a ping, we store your email address and the description of the event you want to watch for. That's it.
Why we need it
Your email is used solely to send you the one notification when your watched event occurs. The description tells us what to watch for. We do not use this data for any other purpose.
How long we keep it
We keep your ping request until the event is detected and you are notified. After that, the record is retained for up to 30 days for operational monitoring, then deleted. If the event never occurs, we retain the ping for up to 12 months before archiving it.
What we never do
We never sell, rent, or share your email address or ping descriptions with third parties. We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or any communication beyond the single notification you requested.
Analytics
If you consent to analytics, we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. This uses a single first-party cookie with no cross-site tracking. You can decline this on your first visit and no analytics code will load.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time. Every notification email includes an unsubscribe link. For data requests, contact us at privacy@pingmewhen.app.
